Stephen Sills Biography:
Working with the Best in the Insurance Industry

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1966, Mr. Sills immediately entered the insurance business.

 

He began his career as a field representative in the Milwaukee branch of Aetna Casualty & Surety Company, and moved from the insurance company side of the industry to the agency side of the industry after four years. His first agency experience was with Marsh & McLennan, Inc., followed by Johnson & Higgins of Illinois, and then Rockwood Company.

 

In 1998, he joined Lamb, Little & Co. as a Vice President. Mr. Sills specializes in property/casualty insurance both personal and commercial lines, marketing and selling of insurance products and servicing of those products to his client base. He has also been active in the LaSalle Street Club.

 

Mr. Sills returned to The Rockwood Company on October 1, 2008 where he continues his insurance practice.

Outside the insurance arena, Mr. Sills is a past President of Michigan Shores Club, University of Wisconsin Club of Chicago, a past Chairman and President of the Wisconsin Alumni Association, and the UW Club of Chicago Scholarship Committee. He served on the Boards of the Lake Geneva Country Club, University Club of Chicago, Wisconsin Alumni Association, UW Chicago Alumni Club, Wisconsin Alumni Association, and UW Foundation.

 

Mr. Sills and his spouse reside in Chicago's Lincoln Park, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They have three children and four grandchildren.
